Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at around $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.
Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere.
You can find this month's menu here at the Angel Food website. Once you have decided on your order, you can circle it and indicate how many on the menu itself. Please also include your name, address, and phone number.
All May orders and payment must be received no later than Sunday, December 7th, 2009. Please make checks out to "Chapel Hill Baptist Church". Our host church needs our order on the Monday morning after our due date. So, you have three options:
1) Submit your order and payment at the church on the due date. Or...
2) Drop your order and payment off at Jeff and Tracy's house by the due date. Or...
3) Submit your order and payment directly to Faith Outreach Church by Monday morning. (Their phone number is (407) 671-7770 and their website is http://www.faithoutreachcfl.com) If you do order directly with them, we will need to collect your receipt from you to pick up the order unless you will be picking it up for yourself. We must give them your receipt in order to pick up your order.
Pick-up day for this month is Saturday the 19th. We aren't able to pick up our orders from Faith Outreach until 9:00 that morning. So we will not have your orders ready & available to pick up at Chapel Hill until 10:00 AM on that date. Please plan to be there around that time, as we will only be there for an hour.
